1. About the platform and the subject of the service
Kopernikus Cars (hereinafter “we”, “the platform” or “autokopernikus.ch”) is an online platform that brings together listings of used vehicles for sale from leading Swiss portals and acts as an intermediary in the purchase and import of vehicles from Switzerland.
The platform is not a seller of vehicles. The listings shown on the website come from third-party portals (AutoScout24, Anibis, Tutti), and the vehicles are sold by third parties (dealers and private sellers). Our role is to make it easier for you to find a vehicle and, if you wish, to act as your intermediary throughout the purchase, transport and import process.
2. Nature of the listings and accuracy of information
Listings are retrieved automatically from the source portals and displayed for information purposes. Prices, availability, photos and technical data come from the original listing and may change or be inaccurate without our knowledge.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of the listings, nor that a vehicle is still available. Before any purchase decision, we check the current condition of the vehicle with the seller.
Clicking on a listing may redirect you to the source portal. The owners of those portals are responsible for their content.
3. Brokerage and import service
At your request, we handle the purchase and import of the selected vehicle. As a rule, the service includes:
- Checking the actual condition and availability of the vehicle with the seller
- Inspecting the vehicle and negotiating the price on your behalf
- Purchasing and collecting the vehicle in Switzerland
- Organising transport to Serbia
- Assistance with customs clearance and the necessary documentation
The scope of the service, the brokerage fee and the timeframes are agreed individually for each vehicle and confirmed before work begins. The final costs (vehicle price, transport, customs, duties) depend on the specific vehicle and the regulations in force.
Offers on the platform are not binding offers in the legal sense; a binding agreement is formed only by a separate written order confirmation between you and us.
4. User account
Certain features (saving favourite vehicles, saved searches and notifications about new vehicles) require you to register an account with an e-mail address or Google sign-in.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your login details safe. You can delete your account at any time, which also deletes the associated data (favourite vehicles and saved searches).
5. Limitation of liability
You use the platform at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from reliance on information in third-party listings, temporary unavailability of the website or display errors.
This limitation does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
6. Intellectual property
The name, logo, design and source code of the platform are protected and may not be used without our consent.
Data and photos from listings belong to the source portals and sellers and are displayed solely to inform users.
7. Data protection and privacy
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect only the data necessary to provide the service.
What data we collect and why:
- E-mail address (and name, if you sign in with Google) — to create and manage your user account
- Favourite vehicles and saved searches — to show them to you and send you the notifications you have requested
- Information you send us yourself via the contact form or a message (e.g. phone number, message) — to respond to your enquiry
- Basic technical data (login / session cookie) — necessary for your account to work
- Website usage data collected through analytics and marketing cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) — to measure visits and improve the website and our advertising
We use the data solely for the purposes stated and do not sell it to third parties. We share it only where necessary to provide the service you have requested (e.g. carrier, customs broker) or where required by law.
We use essential cookies to make sign-in work, as well as analytics and marketing cookies (Google Analytics and Meta Pixel) to measure visits and for advertising. You can refuse this tracking via the cookie banner on your first visit or in your browser settings.
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, and to withdraw your consent. You can submit a request using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
We retain data for as long as you have an active account, or for as long as we need it to provide the service or to meet our legal obligations.
8. Changes, governing law and jurisdiction
We reserve the right to amend these terms by publishing an updated version on this page. Changes take effect on the date of publication.
Swiss law applies to the use of the platform. The courts at the company’s registered office in Switzerland have jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory provisions stipulate otherwise.
If any provision proves to be invalid, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
